Your local library is a good first stop. Many public libraries in Canada offer free access to grant research databases and funding software that can help you get a sense of what opportunities exist in your area and sector. Ask your librarian what they have available. It is also worth getting in touch with your local Member of Parliament, whether at the provincial or federal level. Many MPs have staff dedicated to helping constituents navigate government funding programs and can point you toward opportunities you may not have known existed. A quick call or email to their office can go a long way.
