Grant Writers Canada is led by Marko Curuvija, a former Executive Director who built a national charity from the ground up and grew it past $1 million in annual revenue. He also founded Pedal Easy, one of the first electric bike companies in the world, which he grew and sold. Since then, he has raised more than $10 million for Canadian organizations.
That matters because grant writing is only half the job. Knowing what a funder needs to see to say yes, and what makes an organization fundable in the first place, comes from having done the work yourself: writing the applications, managing the budgets, and answering to funders after the money lands.

I hold a Master’s degree in Sustainability and have spent the past decade building and supporting initiatives that aim to create meaningful impact. I founded The Existence Project, a national storytelling initiative that humanized homelessness, and grew it from a grassroots initiative interviewing people on the street into a charity raising over $1 million a year. I also founded Pedal Easy, one of the first electric bike companies in the world, which I grew and eventually sold.
Everything I do for clients comes from that experience: I've run the programs, managed the budgets, and answered to funders and customers alike. When you work with me, you get someone who has actually sat in your seat, and I'd love to help you fund the work that matters.

Alex Longo knows what it takes to build something from nothing and how to make the case for it. As the founder of her own small business and a former Director of Scouting Operations at Scouts Canada, she's worked both sides of organizational growth: securing resources and delivering results.
Her nearly six years at Scouts Canada, where she supported funding applications and led national-scale operations, gave her a deep appreciation for how mission-driven work gets communicated to funders. Paired with her certification in Crucial Conversations, Alex brings both strategic clarity and precise communication to every grant she touches.
She's drawn to organizations doing meaningful work — and knows how to help them tell that story.
